The sum of y^2 and 1 shall be 2x^2 when this sum of y^2 and x^2 can be 74.

(y^2 plus 1) divided by 2 plus y^2 equals 74.
1.5 y^2 will then equal 73.5

y^2 = 49 y=7
The bigger square is 7 centimetres only.
The first option is the correct option.
