Answer:

x = 49/29, y = 19/29

Step-by-step explanation:

(i) 7x - 15y = 2

(ii) x + 2y = 3

On solving (i) & (ii) * 7, we get

7x - 15y = 2

7x + 14y = 21

--------------------

       -29y = -19

             y = 19/29.

Substitute y = 19/29 in (i), we get

⇒ 7x - 15y = 2

⇒ 7x - 15(19/29) = 2

⇒ 203x - 285 = 58

⇒ 203x = 58 + 285

⇒ x = 343/203

⇒ x = 49/29.

Therefore, the values are : x = 49/49 and y = 19/29.

Hope it helps!

7x - 15y = 2 - 1
x + 2y = 3 - 2

Multiplying eq 2 by 7
We Get,
7x + 14y =21 - 3

Sub eq 1 from 3

7x + 14y = 21
- 7x -15y = 2

After Solving This We get,

29y = 19
y = 29/19
