Solution -

S = ut + ½ at² .

S₂ = 20m

S₄ = 30m

S₆ = ?

S₂ = 2u + ½a ×4

> S₂ = 2u + 2a

S₄ = 4u + ½a × 16

> S₄ = 4u + 8a

S₂ = 20m

> 2u + 2a = 20

> u + a = 10

S₄ = 30 m

> 4u + 8a = 30m

> u + 2a = 15/2

Subtracting the second equation from the first

> a = 15/2 - 10

> -5/2

> -2.5 m/s²

Hence U = 12.5 m/s

S₆ = 12.5 × 6 + ½ × -2.5 × 6 × 6

> S₆ = 75 - 45

> S₆ = 30m.

This is the required answer .
