construction:-

  • Draw line BC 8cm
  • Use compass to measure 5 cm from a ruler.
  • Take centre as point A and construct an arc on one side of the base.

Now,

  • taking centre as B with same measurement,
  • cut the previous arc, to obtain a point C.
  • Join AC and BC
