s∝1t2

∴ s=kt2, where k is constant of variation

When s = 4, t = 5.

∴ 4=k52 ⇒4=k25⇒k=25×4=100

So, the equation of variation is s=100t2 or st2 = 100.

Answer:

therefore s = 4

t= 5

k = 25 × 4

k= 100

the constant of variation is k= 100

and the equation of variation is s× t= 100

therefore,

s × t = 100
