India Salutes our soldiers for their sacrifices and relentless efforts to safeguard our Nation.
The 67th Independence Day of the country was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The Tagore House took the honour to conduct the programme. Mrs Shenaz introduced the programme and invited the chief guest Mrs. Sulbha Wagh to hoist the flag. The national flag was hoisted at the rhythm of ‘Jana Gana Mana’ followed by the pledge and the flag song.
The programme began with a prayer service conducted by the students of std. IX B. A speech was delivered by three students. The students of K.G. class were dressed as patriots, national leaders and social workers. They came one by one and delivered their dialogues. A skit enacted by a group of students depicted the present condition of our motherland.
It was a day of a trio celebration. Children were anxious to wish their beloved Principal Sr. Ruth, on her birthday with greetings. It also marked the birthday of one of our lady peons Smt. Sundarama. A group of children sang the birthday song and expressed birthday wishes.
The programme was flamed with a colourful yet classical dance on the beats of patriotism. Mrs. Sulbha addressed the students with a beautiful message. Sr. Natalia inspired the students with her few words. Sr. Ruth, thanked the students, teachers, PTA members for their prayers on her special day and she wished a Happy Independence day to everyone present in the campus.
The programme concluded by proposing vote of thanks by Mrs. Meghana.
