A simple majority is a vote taken by an organization where at least 51% of the members must vote yes to approve a bill before it is accepted.

A bill which is not a Money Bill , Financial Bill or Constitutional Amendment is know as Ordinary Bill. Speaker of Lower House or chairman of Upper House decides whether a bill is Ordinary or not.

Article 107 and 108 of indian constitution gives legislature guidelines to propose such bill in either house(Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha) of Indian Parliament.

What makes ordinary bill different from others

It can be introduced in either house.

It can be introduced both by Goverment minister and private member.

It is passed by Simple Majority by members present and voting .
