Some Reasons for Amending the Constitution..
Ratification of the proposed child labor amendment requires favorable action by the legislatures of 36 states. Twenty‐four states, up to the time of going to press, have taken such action. Of the states holding legislative sessions this winter, nearly a score are still to act on the issue of ratification. If twelve of them vote favorably, Congress will be enabled to continue the child labor standards of the NRA through federal legislation.
