HELLO!

Here's your answer:

28. Alkali metal carbonates are extremely stable to heat. They do not decompose to give carbon dioxide and metal oxide. So, the answer of this question should be option (a), that is, Lithium carbonate. It is the most stable among others because it belongs to Group 1, or it is a member of the alkali metals.

29. The answer here should be option (c). SF₈ does not exist because Sulphur has a maximum oxidation state of +6, which cannot be extended anymore. Also, the ionic character of SF₂ < SF₄ < SF₆. So, the covalent character is SF₆ < SF₄ < SF₂. That is, S-F bond in SF₆ is least covalent.

30. The answer of this question should be option (c). By Fajan's rule, due to polarization, they develop a covalent character, and Beryllium chloride is the most covalent, followed by Magnesium chloride. Covalency in the chlorides of Calcium and strontium are not that effective, so they are considered at last. Hence option (C) should be the answer.

Thanks. Any mistake in the answer will be happily corrected. Good luck.

28 : most stable carbonate is Baap Carbonate

I mean BaCO3

Because CO3 is a large bulky anion wo it is more stable with a bigger size cation you know

Like Barium

29 I think SF6 because polarity is most

30 3) Barium is most covalent ek hi option h

Or Waise bhi anion to same h chotu cation and bada cation forms a covalent comp

Ps : Li2CO3 is very unstable it decomposes INTO Li2O + CO2
