Answer:

Profit% is 25%

Step-by-step explanation:

Question:-

Sab ke bought watch for 280 and sold it for 350 what is his percentage of profit.

Given:-

Sab ke bought watch for 280

He sold it for 350

To find:-

The profit%

Solution:-

C. P of watch=280

S. P of watch=350

sp=selling price

Cp=cost price

So the sp is greater than cp it is a profit

First we have to find profit amount

Profit=selling price-cost price

On substituting the values we get,

=₹350-₹280

=₹70

Next we have to find profit%

profit \:  \:   \% =  \frac{profit}{cost \: price}  \times 100 \:  \:  \%

On substituting the values we get,

 =  \frac{70}{280}  \times 100 \:  \:  \%

 =  \frac{7000}{280}  \:  \:  \%

By cancelling with 280 we get,

 =  \frac{25}{1}  \:  \:  \%

 = 25 \:  \:  \%

Therefore profit% is 25%

Additional information:-

Profit=s.p-c.p

Loss=c.p-s.p

Profit%

 =  \frac{profit}{cp}  \times 100 \:   \%

Loss%

 =  \frac{loss}{cp}  \times 100 \:  \%

C. p(when profit% is there) =

 \frac{100}{100  + profit \: percent}  \times sp

C. p(when loss% is there) =

 \frac{100}{100 - loss \: percent}  \times 100
