hi ,

the area of rectangle is l×b

1m=100cm

4 m=400cm,3m=300cm

400×300=area

120000=area

to find tile

area/tile area

120000/20

=6000tiles

Answer:

Sabina wants to cover the floor of the room whose length is 4 m and breadth is 3 m.

Here..

Length (l) = 4 m

Breadth (b) = 3 m

Now,

We know that

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

Before putting values, first we have to change m into cm.

To convert m into cm.. multiply with 100.

So,

Length (l) = 4 × 100 = 400 cm

Breadth (b) = 3 × 100 = 300 cm

Area of the floor of the room = (400 × 300) cm²

=> 120000 cm²

Also, we have given that side of each square tile is 20 cm.

So,

Area of square = side × side

=> (20 × 20) cm²

=> 400 cm²

We have to find the number of tiles required to cover the floor of the room.

Substitute the known values

=>

=> 300

∴ 300 tiles are required to cover the floor of her room.
