Sabrina has 40 Books

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say Bindu has Book  = B

bindu and katherine together have 50books

=> Katherine has books = 50 - B

Let say Sabrina  has Books  = S

sabrina tells bindu  "if I give you 8 books, you will have as many as manju has

=>  B + 8  = Manju Books

     S  - 8  = Manju Books - 3

=> Manju Books = S - 5

S - 5 = B + 8

=> S = B + 13

=> B = S - 13

Sabrina  take away 6books from manju, She will have twice as many as katherine has

S + 6  = 2 ( 50 - B)

=> S + 6 = 2 ( 50 - (S - 13))

=> S + 6 = 100 - 2S + 26

=> 3S = 120

=> S = 40

Sabrina has 40 Books

Additional info :

Sabrina  = 40

Bindu = 27

Manju = 35

Katherine = 23

Answer:

Let the number of book sabrina have x , Bindu have y , Manju have z .

Then number of books katherine have=50−y

A.T.Q. y+8=zy−z=8 ...(1)x−8=z−3x−z=5 ...(2)x−8+6=2(50−y)x+2y=102 ...(3)Subtracting (2) from (1) , we gety−x=3 ...(4)Adding (3) and (4)

3y=105. y=35 .35−x=3x=3232−z=5z=2

Sabrina have 32 books .

Manju have 35 books .

Bindu have 27 books .

Katherine have (50−35)=15 books .
