Hi Sachin
I love you. That is something which every mortal on this earth does, who has heard even a little about cricket.
But that's not it.
I adore you. I have worshiped you with all my reverence since my childhood.
You were the one whom I prayed when India batted and there was a power-cut.(That happens pretty often in Bihar).
I wept with you and smiled with you.
If down the lane I meet you someday, I don't know what I'll call you, probably (Sachin kaise ho..?) Its the way of addressing a loved one in Bihar.
You had every trophy in your closet but the WC.
And when you laid hands on that WC'11 trophy and let the tears trickle down your cheeks, I also wept. It felt as if it was a sumptuous meal after eternity.
Lately when you gave that retirement speech in Wankhede, I was having goosebumps pimple all over my body, the feeling which I have when I sing the National Anthem.
With your departure, there was a feeling in me that cricket won't be the same again. Young Indian Guns are trying to fill that void, but alas that's so futile try.
