            Sad reality of Today's India

The sad reality of today’s India is that most of the Indians live in their own narrow worlds, not caring for righteousness. They don’t raise their voice against social evils and injustice. As a result crime-oriented people succeed in executing their ill plans.

One of the grimmest problems ailing Indian society is insecurity for women and girls. Incidents of rapes and molestation frequently happen. According to statics issued by National Crime Bureau 2015 saw the registration of 3,27,394 cases under the head of Crimes against Women. There has been a marginal increase of 2.5%, however, in other sexual offences against women. Under the category of “assault on women with intent to outrage her modesty”, 2015 saw 84,222 cases being registered across the country.

These outrages against women have created a poor image of India among foreign countries. Millions of foreign tourists visit India every year; this has directly affected the tourism industry. There was nation wise outrage on the tragic incident of Nirbhay and Aasifa molestation cases. Though the offenders have been brought to justice, still crimes against women have not decreased. The appalling incident in Hyderabad just shocked the entire nation.

These crimes happen because of the poor, slow, inefficient judiciary system in India. Law cases linger on for decades in Indian courts. As a result there is no fear among the crime-oriented people.

The Indian Government should look into it and ensure efficient, quick, and strict law dispensation in the country.
