- Sahara Desert is located in Africa. It covers one-third of African Continent extending to about 11 countries. Some of the countries that lie within the Desert limits are: Egypt, Algeria, Chad, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Sudan, Tunisia, etc...
- On an average, Sahara Desert occupies an area of 86,00,000 km². Its area increases during summer months and decreases during winter months.
