(ii) CH3-CH2-CH 2-OH ​→ Propan-1-ol

First we count the number of Carbons in main chain.

They are 5 in number, so it starts with pent-

The compound is an alkane, so it ends with -ane.

Thus, the compound is pentane.

(ii) CH3-CH2-CH2 -OH

First we count the number of Carbons in main chain.

They are 3 in number, so it starts with prop-

The compound is an alcohol, so it ends with -ol.

The C atom adjacent to the -OH group is numbered as 1.

So, the coumpound is propan-1-ol or simply propanol.
