Said the Duck to the Kangaroo,
"Good gracious! how you hop!
Over the fields and the water too,
As if you never would stop!
My life is a bore in this nasty pond,
And I long to go out in the world beyond!
I wish I could hop like you!"
Said the Duck to the Kangaroo.

Answer:

The paragraph says that when the duck looks at the joyful hopping of the kangaroo, she feels a little envy, and thinks that the kangaroo can go over the fields and the water too, without any boundations to worry about, he is free to do everything he wishes to. But, her life is boring and dull in the nasty pond, and she desires to go out of the pond, to the world beyond her small habitat. Thus, she wishes to be able to hop like the kangaroo does.
