  • Their body consist of head, thorax, and abdomen.
  • Respiratory organs are gills, book lungs.
  • Open circulatory system
  • Excretion takes place through malpighian tubules
  • They are mostly oviparous. (exception - scorpion.)
  • This is the largest phylum of Animalia
  • This includes insects.
  • Over two-thirds of all species are arthropods
  • Compound or simple eyes are present
  • They have endocrine glands.
