The length of the lace required is 4.71 m.

The cost of the lace is ₹ 70.65 .

Explanation:

It is stated that,

The value of π is 3.14 m.

The diameter of the table is 1.5 m.

∴ The radius of table = (1.5/2) m

                                  = 0.75 m

Hence we get,

Radius (r) = 0.75 m

∴ Circumference = 2πr

                   = (2×3.14×0.75) m

                   = 4.71 m

The length of the lace = Circumference of the table = 4.71 m.

∴ The length of the lace is 4.17 m.

The cost of 1 m of the lace is ₹ 15.

∴ The cost of 4.17 m of the lace is = ₹(15×4.17)

                                                           = ₹ 70.65.

∴ The cost of the lace is ₹ 70.65.

The length of the lace required and its cost of lace.

\bf{\Large{\underline{\boxed{\rm{\red{Explanation\::}}}}}}

We have,

\rm{The\:diameter\:of\:lace\:=\:1.5m}

\rm{We\:know\:that\:radius\:\:(r)\:=\:\frac{Diameter}{2} }

So,

\rm{Radius\:=\:\frac{1.5*10}{2*10} =\cancel{\frac{15}{20}m }}

\rm{Radius\:=\:\frac{3}{4} m}

Therefore,

\sf{\pink{The\:length\:of\:lace\:=\:Circumference\:of\:the\:table}}

\longmapsto\rm{Circumference\:of\:table\:=\:2\pi r}

\longmapsto\rm{Circumference\:of\:table\:=\:(2*3.14*\frac{3}{4} )m}

\longmapsto\rm{Circumference\:of\:table\:=\:\cancel{\frac{18.84}{4} }m}

\longmapsto\rm{Circumference\:of\:table\:=\:\pink{4.71m}}

Hence,

The length required is 4.71m.

Now,

\mapsto\sf{The\:cost\:of\:1m\:lace\:=\:Rs.15}

\mapsto\sf{The\:cost\:of\:4.71m\:lace\:=\:Rs.(15*4.71)}

\mapsto\rm{\pink{The\:cost\:of\:4.71m\:of\:lace\:=\:70.65}}
