Sajala decides to change the tiles of the bathroom floor in his house. Thedemesion of the floor in 3 m × 2 m and that of a tile is 10 cm × 6 cm.

300*200 cm^2 ÷ 10*6cm^2

Dimensions of the floor = 3m × 2m

Dimensions of the tiles = 10cm × 6cm

Area of the floor = 3m × 2m

= 300cm × 200cm

[1m = 100cm]

= 60000cm²

Area of the tiles = 10cm × 6cm

= 60cm²

No. of tiles required =

(Area of the floor)/(Area of the tiles)

= 60000cm²/60cm²

= 1000

Hence, 1000 tiles required to cover the floor.
