Answer:

LET SALARY OF RAM BE 4X AND THAT OF SHAM BE 5X

WHEN EACH IS INCREASED BY 5000 THEN :

4X + 5000/5X + 5000 = 50 / 60

60( 4X + 5000 ) = 50 ( 5X + 500 )

240X + 300000 = 250X + 2500

300000 - 2500 = 250 - 240X

297500 = 10X

29750 = X

SHAM'S PRESENT SALARY = 5X

                                              = 5× 29750

                                              = 149750 ANS.

Answer:

30000

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the original salaries of Ram and Sham be Rs. 4x and Rs. 5x respectively .

Then ,

 \frac{4x + 5000}{5x + 5000}  =  \frac{50}{60}  \\  \\  \frac{4x + 5000}{5x + 5000} =  \frac{5}{6}  \\  \\ 6(4x + 5000) = 5(5x + 5000) \\  \\ 24x + 30000 = 25x + 25000 \\  \\ 25x - 24x = 30000 - 25000 \\  \\ x =  5000 \\

Sham's present salary ( 5x + 5000 )

= Rs. ( 5 × 5000 + 5000 )

= Rs. ( 25000 + 5000 )

= Rs. 30000
