(2x+4000)×57=(3x+4000)×40

3x=114000-80000

3x=24000

Answer:

Let Salaries be x and y

so x/y = 2/3

and x+4000/y+4000 = 40/57

y=1.5x

57x+228000=40y+160000

putting y=1.5x

57x+228000=60x+160000

3x=68000

x=68000/3

so y = 34000 units of salary

which is Sumit's Salary.
