salary of a+b is 43000
if A spend 90% of his salary
and B spend 80%of his salary
and there savings are equal
then what is both of them salary

according to the question,

a+b=43000

⇒a=43000-b..........................i)

since they have same amount of savings we can say that,

a-90% of a=b-80% of b

⇒a - (90/100)*a = b - (80/100)*b

⇒a - 9a/10 =b- 8a/10

now taking l.c.m

(10a - 9a)/10=(10b-8b)/10

⇒ a=2b

substituting the value of a from i) we get

43000 - b= 2b

⇒43000=3b

⇒b=43000/3

∴b=14333.33333

similarly a=43000-14333.33333

∴a=28666.66667

hence the salary of a is 28666.66667 while that of b is 14333.33333
