The salary of C is c)Rs 1000

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

salary of A= Rs 1080

salary of A= 20% more than the salary of B

salary of B= 10% less than the salary of C

To find:

the salary of C

Solution:

It is given that,

salary of A= 20% more than the salary of B

∴ 1080= 20% of B's salary + salary of B

∴ 1080= \frac{20}{100} of B's salary + salary of B

∴ 1080= \frac{1}{5} of B's salary + salary of B

Let's assume B's salary as x for now

then, 1080=   \frac{1}{5} of x + x

1080=   \frac{1}{5} x+ x

1080=   \frac{6x}{5}

∴ 1080 x 5 = 6x

\frac{1080 (5)}{6}=x

\frac{5400}{6}=x

∴ x= Rs 900

∴ B's salary = Rs 900

salary of B= 10% less than the salary of C

900= 10% of C's salary- C's salary

Let's say C's salary is y

900= 10% of y - y

900= \frac{10}{100}y - y

900= \frac{1}{10}y -y

900=\frac{9y}{10}

900 (10) = 9y

\frac{9000}{9} = y

∴ y = Rs 1000

∴ C's salary is Rs 1000
