Answer: House rent expense = 5000 Rs

              Education expense   = 2500 Rs

              Other expense           = 12500 Rs

                Total                           = 20000 Rs

Step-by-step explanation:

Total salary = 25000

Expenditure for house rent = 20% of 25000

                                              = (20/100) * 25000

                                              = 250 * 20

                                              = 5000 Rs

Expenditure for education = 10% of 25000

                                            = (10/100) * 25000

                                            = 10 * 250

                                            = 2500 Rs

Expenditure for others = 50% of 25000

                                      = (50/100) * 25000

                                      = 250 * 50

                                      = 12500 Rs

Thus, his house rent expense is 5000 Rs, education expense is 2500 Rs and other expense is 12500 Rs which add up to 20000 Rs.

Given:

  • Monthly salary of Mr. Sharma = Rs. 25000
  • He spends 20% on house rent.
  • He spends 10% on education of his kids.
  • He spends 50% for other expenses.
  • The rest amount left with him he deposits in bank.

So,

To be found:

His expenses for vaious porpose.

Now,

  • He spends 20% on house rent.

= \frac{20}{1\not0\not0} \times 250\not0 \not0

= Rs. 5000

∴ He spends Rs. 5000 for house rent.

  • He spends 10% on education of his kids.

= \frac{10}{1\not0\not0} \times 250\not0\not0

= Rs. 2500

∴ He spends Rs. 2500 on education of his kids.

  • He spends 50% for other expenses.

= \frac{50}{1\not0\not0} \times 250\not0\not0

= Rs. 12500

∴ He spends Rs. 12500 for other expenses.

So,

Total expenses

= Rs. 5000 + Rs. 2500 + Rs. 12500

= Rs. 20000

The money which is left with him

= 25000 - 20000

= Rs. 5000

So,

He deposited Rs. 5000 in the bank.

Hence,

He spends 20% on house rents = Rs. 5000.

He spends 10% on education of his kids = Rs. 2500.

He spends 50% other expenses = Rs. 12500.
