Let the salary of Y be ₹ 100

and we have salary of X is 20 % more than Y

so, salary of X = 100 + 20 % of 100

= 100+20 = 120

So, salary of X = ₹ 120

Now, salary of Y is less than X by

120 - 20 = 20

So, % = difference/salary of X ×100 %

= 20/120 × 100 %

= 100/6 % = 16.67 %

So, salary of Y is 16.67 % less than that of X.

Hey! mate ♥️

SOLUTION ~~~

Let the Y's salary = Rs. 100

Then X's salary is 20% more than Y's salary,

X's salary = Rs. 120

=> Y's salary is Rs. 20 less than X's salary

=> % of Y's salary less than X's salary =

(20 × 100 ) % = 50 % = 16 2 %

120. 3. 3

ANSWER = 16 2 % .
