let the salaries of two persons be 9x and 7x .And let the expenses of two persons be 4y and 3y . Two persons save 200 ruppees per month , 9x-4y =200...(1) and 7x-3y=200...(2) . Multiply (1)by 3 and (2) by 4 , we get => 27x-12y=600...(1) and28x-12y=800...(2) .Subtract (1) from (2) => 28x-12y-(27x-12y) =800-600=200=> x=200 .
