Given :- Sale price of 3 shirts is equal to cost price of 2 pants. If Cost price of one shirts is Rs. 1500/- and the seller earn a profit of 20% on each item he sells, how much will he earn by selling 3 shirts and 3 pants ?

Answer :-

→ CP of 1 shirt = Rs.1500

→ CP of 3 shirt = 1500 * 3 = Rs.4500

now,

→ profit on each shirt = 20%

→ SP of each shirt = (1500 * 120)/100 = Rs.1800

so,

→ SP of 3 shirts = 3 * 1800 = Rs.5400 .

given that,

→ SP of 3 shirts = CP of 2 pants .

→ 5400 = CP of 2 pants

→ CP of 1 pant = Rs.2700

so,

→ CP of 3 pants = Rs.8100

then,

→ SP of 3 pants = (8100 * 120)/100 = Rs.9720 .

therefore,

→ Total CP of 3 shirts and 3 pants = 4500 + 8100 = Rs.12600

→ Total SP of 3 shirts and 3 pants = 5400 + 9720 = Rs.15120 .

hence,

→ Total profit he earns = SP - CP = 15120 - 12600 = Rs.2520 (Ans.)

if asked Total % profit then,

→ Profit % = (2520 * 100) / 12600 = 20% (Ans.)
