Average = \frac{Sum Of Observations}{No. Of Observations}

Let the Sum Of Observations be x.

=> 60 = \frac{x}{4}

=> Total Marks = 60*4 = 240

58 = \frac{x}{4}

=> Total Marks = 58*4 = 232

Difference in marks = 240-232 = 8

∴ Saleem lost 8 marks in the next set of tests.

Answer:

Saleem grade is 50.

Step-by-step explanation:

Explanation:

Let x be the grade.

From the question, Saleem has average of 60 in 4 subjects

as he attempted next test the average dropped to 58.

Step 1:

Average marks of 4 subjects = 60.

As we know that,  average = \frac{sum\  of \ the\  numbers }{total\  numbers}

So, the total marks of 4 subject = 4 × 60 = 240.

And average marks of 5 subjects = 58

So, the total marks of 5 subjects = 5 × 58 = 290

Therefore, the most recent test grade = 290 - 240 = 50.

Final answer:

Hence, Saleem grade is 50.
