the size of picture is
 \frac{38}{5}
size of frame
 \frac{73}{10}
actual size of picture - actual size of frame
 \frac{38}{5}  -  \frac{73}{10}
 =  \frac{3}{10}

Answer: The picture should be trimmed by \dfrac{3}{10}\ cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Actual size of the picture = \dfrac{38}{5}\ cm

To fit in the frame the picture can not be more than \dfrac{73}{10}\ cm

Trimmed picture is given by

\dfrac{38}{5}-\dfrac{73}{10}\\\\\\=\dfrac{76-73}{10}\\\\\\=\dfrac{3}{10}\ cm

Hence, the picture should be trimmed by \dfrac{3}{10}\ cm
