Percentage of income saved = 25 / 2 %

Actual savings = ₹ 860

Let the monthly income be ₹ x.

Therefore,

Actual savings = 25 / 2 % of x

₹ 860 = 25 / 200 * x
x = ₹ 860 * 200 / 25
x = ₹ 172000 / 25
x = ₹ 6880

Therefore,

The monthly income of Salma = ₹ x = ₹ 6880
