Salt 'A' commonly used in food products, is a reactant to produce salt 'B', used in the
kitchen for making tasty, crispy pakoras. Salt 'B' on heating converts into another
salt 'C', which is used in the manufacturing of glass. Salts 'A', 'B' and 'C' respectively
are :
(a)
NaHCO3, NaCl, Na2CO3
Na,CO3, NaCl, NaHCO3
(b)
Na2CO3, NaHCO3, NaCl
) ud) NaCl, NaHCO3, Na2CO3
(c)
Na2co3, NaCl, NaHCo3
(d)
NaCl, NaHco3, Na2Co3

(d)  NaCl, NaHco3, Na2Co3

  • Salt A, Sodium chloride is used in food products.
  • Salt B, Sodium bicarbonate, and Ammonium chloride are produced when NaCl reacts with carbon dioxide, Ammonia, and water.

                      NaCl+NH3 +H2 O+CO2 →  NaHCO3 +NH4 Cl

  • Salt C, Sodium carbonate is produced along with water and carbon dioxide when sodium bicarbonate is heated.

                       NaHCO3  → Na2CO3+H2O+CO2
