Salt has iodine but salt's composition is sodium chloride. How is iodine found in salt then?

there are different types of salts..If u are talking about common salt then
it has a very less amount of iodine to be considered as a main component..Only iodised salts have enough iodine..
Common salt has sodium and chlorine as main components and so iodine 's presence is minimal..
