Yes. Adding salt to the ice/water mixcauses a temperature drop that slows the melting rate and increases thefreezing rate . The net result is that theice melts more and more slowly after the initial addition of salt.

if we add salt to ice the temperature decreases I.e it melts slowly . the same method is used by icecream makers.
