Explanation:

=>weak acids includes ch3cooh (acetic acid ) , h3po4 (phosphoric acid) etc and strong bases includes NaOH (sodium hydroxide) , KOH(potassium hydroxide) etc.

=> When weak acid and strong base are reacted, basic salt is formed because as base is strong it will show its presence more than acid.

=> For eg, H3PO4 + NaOH = NaH2PO4+ H2o

Answer:

Salt will alkaline in nature.

Explanation:

The salt of weak acid and strong base is alkaline in nature because they undergoes hydrolysis in water due to which they produce OH⁻ ions.

Consider a weak acid CH₃COOH reacts with a strong base NaOH

CH₃COOH + NaOH  ↔ CH₃COONa + H₂O

On hydrolysis,

CH₃COO⁻ + H₂O ↔ CH₃COOH + OH⁻

So, this anion OH⁻ is the reason for the alkaline nature of the salt.
