96 =  \frac{x}{7}  |5|

We know that modulus of any number gives absolute value of that number, be it positive or negative

In other words |a| and |-a| both will give the same and positive value of a as output.

Hence, |5| = 5

So we can write it as,

96 =  \frac{x}{7}   |5|

 =  > 96 =   \frac{x}{7}  \times 5

 =  > 96 =  \frac{5x}{7}

 =  >  \frac{96  \times 7}{5}  = x

 =  > x =  \frac{672}{5}

Answer:

7

Step-by-step explanation:

96-x=5n for some integer n

672-x/7=5n

672-x=35n

672-x is a multiple of 35

therefore,the least value of x must be 7

i.e. 665 is a multiple of 35
