Sam bought 100 bars of shop. He sold them all at a rate of ₹12 each and made a profit of ₹240. At what rate did he buy them?

selling  \:  \: price  \:  \: of each \:  soap \:  \: =6.20

total  \:  \:  \: price \:  \: =6.20×100=620

profit =s.p-c.p

50     =620-x

x=570

cost  \:  \: price \:  \:  of  \:  \: 100 \:  \:  bars =570

c.p \:  \:  of  \:  \: each \:  \:  bar=570/100=5.70
