ANSWER:

The cost of coffee is 120 and the cost of tea is 80

Step-by-step explanation:

Let A be coffee and B be tea.

Sam:

2A+B=320 _(1)

Jane:

3A+2B=520_(2)

(Solving by cross – multiplication method)

(1)×2 _ 4A+2B=640

(2) _ 3A+2B=520

__________

A =120

Substitute A=120 in (1)

2(120)+B=520

B=320 - 240

B=80

A=120, B=80

Therefore the cost of coffee is 120 and tea is 80
