GIVEN

Sam can jump 4 steps at a time and Nina can jump 5 steps at a time.

TO DETERMINE

On which of the steps will both meet if both start jumping together

EVALUATION

Here it is given that Sam can jump 4 steps at a time and Nina can jump 5 steps at a time.

Now we find the LCM of 4 and 5

Since 4 and 5 are prime to each other

So LCM of 4 and 5 = 4 × 5 = 20

Hence after 20 steps both meet if both start jumping together
