Let the number of books in the library be x .

Sam , Mathew and Kelvin each read

= 1/5 th part of the library books.

= x/5 books .

Sam read = 20 books .

{i.e. x/5 part of library books .}

→ x/5 = 20

→ x = 20 × 5

x = 100 books

Hence the number of books is 100 .
