Sam went to a shop to buy some pants (₹100 each), shirts (₹200 each) and t-shirts (₹300 each). He can buy a maximum of 17 items. If he buys at least 4 items of each type, with minimum number of pants and maximum number of t-shirts, then what will be his minimum expenditure(in ₹)?

Step-by-step explanation:

Pants = 100

Shirts =200

t-shirts=300

maximum items= 17

minimum items= ( should be ½ of max.(17) so 8.5

Let's put it as 8.

Minimum number of pants - 100/8.

Maximum number of t-shirts - 300/17

Multiply.

Minimum of pants = 800

Maximum of t-shirts = 5,100

So 5,900.

If you buy 4 items from shirts, 200/4, so it's 1,400

Add everything to get total.

5,900+1400= 7,300.

Total expenditure of Sam = 7,300

*Hope this helps*
