Let no . of sunflower be x
and no. of rose be x+35
ratio of both=x+35/x=8/3
cross multiplication
8(x)=3(x+35)
8x=3x+105
8x-3x=105
5x=105
x=21
sunflower =21
rose =21+35=56

Given that,rose plants are 35 more than sunflower plants so let no. of sunflower plants be x.
Then,no. of rose plants=x+35
Ratio of rose plants to sunflower plants is 8:3
A.T.Q, x+35/x=8/3
=8(x)=3(x+35)
=8x=3x+105
=8x-3x=105
=5x=105
=x=105/5=21
Hence,no. of sunflower plants =21
No.of rose plants=21+35= 56
Hope it helps
