Samay was going on a ship with his family for a vacation he was told by an engineer that the base of the ship and lower part are made of iron is worried as these part are always dip in water and they may get rusted but the engineer said they do not trust so easily and we can you suggest the reason for the same

There are many factors due to which ships do not rust.

1.Outer surface of the ships is painted to avoid direct contact between water and the metal part.

2.Cathodic protection from matals like Zinc.

3.In some ships, fiberglass is used to make the hull.

my suggestion is that rusting of iron moisturiser is needed.

and rusting of iron oxygen reacted with environment moster...
