Hey Dear,

● Answer -

Mass of copper deposited = 381 g.

◆ Explaination -

In HCl cell, liberation of hydrogen takes place by following reaction

2H+ + 2e- --> H2

That is 2 mol of e- will liberate 1 mol of H2 gas.

Moles of H2 liberated = 12/2 = 6 mol H2.

To liberate 6 moles of e- required is 6 × 2 = 12 mole e-.

In CuSO4 cell, deposition of hydrogen takes place by following reaction

Cu2+ + 2e- --> Cu

That is 2 mol of e- will deposit 1 mol of Cu metal.

Thus, 12 mol e- will deposit 12/2 = 6 mol Cu.

Hence, mass of copper deposited will be 6×63.5 = 381 g.

Hope this helps you. Keep asking.
