  • Volume occupied by the gas is 11.54 Liter.

Given-

Sample of gas occupies volume = 10 L at given temperature = 50⁰ C

V₁ = 10 L

T₁ = 50⁰ C = 273 + 50 = 323 K

V₂ = ?

T₂ = 100⁰ C = 373 K

By applying ideal gas equation-

PV = nRT, where P is pressure, V is volume, n is number of moles, R is universal gas constant and T is temperature.

It is given that pressure is constant. So,

V ∝ T or,

V₁/T₁ = V₂/T₂

By putting the values we get,

V₂ = V₁ × T₂ / T₁

V₂ = 10 × 373/323

V₂ = 11.54 Liter.
