produces a real image 3 cm high.
(1) What is the focal length of the mirror ?
(ii) Find the position of the image.

Given

h = 2cm

u = -16cm

h' = -3cm(real img)

⇒ m= h'/h

= -3/2

⇒ -v/u=h'/h

V= -24

By,

1/f = 1/u + 1/v

1/f = 1/-16 + 1/-24

=-5/48

⇒f = 48/-5

= -9.6 cm
