Given : A leap year is any year that's evenly divisible by 4, unless it's divisible by 100 in which

case it isn't, except when it's also divisible by 400 in which case it is.

To Find : What is the  probability that a year chosen at random is a leap year?

Solution:

A leap year is Every 4 Year

25 Times in 100 Years

100 times  in 400 Years

But in 400 Years  there will be 100 , 200 & 300 where its divisible by 100  but not divisible by 400

Hence 100 - 3 = 97 leap Years in 400 Years

probability that a year chosen at random is a leap year  = 97/400
