Raipur collector S Bharatidasan said that besides medical stores and emergency services functioning as per their routine timings, the dairy (only milk) supply will be given relaxation for two hours in morning and evening while petrol pumps will be operational only for providing fuel for vehicles like ambulances, government vehicles, LPG delivery carts and those engaged in emergency services.

Going stricter than ever, administration has warned that people will have to compulsorily follow limits of three persons travelling in car and two riders on two-wheelers. Anyone caught violating the rule will have to pay fine, face action and their vehicles will be seized for atleast 15 days.

“We request residents not to panic as administration has given relaxation on Sunday which is otherwise a complete lockdown day. In order to prevent people panicking and over-crowding shops and markets, we have decided to allow all services open on Sunday and Monday. People should store ration and vegetables for a week ensuring social distancing and masking up while going out. All the traders are being asked to not resort to black marketing or over charging on products, our teams of officials would be out for inspection,” Collector Bharatidasan said.

Lockdown is not a permanent solution against prevention of coronavirus and I appeal people to choose for self imposed discipline, it’s more important to maintain social distancing and wear masks whenever out of the house, he urged
