Thus SP=80x/100
If he had sold it for$800 more,he would have received a profit of 5%.
According to given question
80x/100+800=105x/100
or 80x/100-105x/100 = -800
or 80x-105x/100= -800
or -25x= -800×100
or x= -80000/÷-25=3200
Thus CP is $3200
