Answer: The bulb did not glow because Sandeep used a plastic wire and plastic is an Insulator hence it will not conduct the electricity.

Explanation: The bulb will not glow as Sandeep used a plastic wire to complete the circuit. Plastic does not conduct the electricity as it is an excellent Insulator.

  • What is an Insulator ?

Insulators are the materials that are poor or bad conductors of electricity. The do not allow the passage of electricity through them.

  • Will copper wire conduct electricity ?

Copper is a metal and metals have a strong tendency to conduct electricity. They allow the passage of electricity through them. Hence, copper will surely conduct electricity.

  • What should Sandeep do in order to complete the circuit ?

He should replace the plastic wire with copper wire or wire made up of any other metal in order to complete the circuit for the flow of current.
